Hi HN, I'm Francisco. I've spent the last couple of months building what Siri promised to be 10 years ago. I'm calling it Ida. Ida is a native macOS voice assistant. Hold a shortcut, say what you want, let go, and Ida does it in the apps it's connected to. Before it does anything that matters, it shows you what it's about to do and waits for you. It sits quietly at the top of your screen, built into the notch. It's free and publicly available for macOS 14+. Voice transcription runs in the cloud, or locally on your Mac if you prefer.
