About

Disclosure: I am submitting on behalf of imread. Tool: imread extracts the main text of a public web article so it can be read in a simpler interface or copied as Markdown into research notes. Core extraction works without an account. Its documented REST API and MCP endpoint also support developer workflows. A concrete example is collecting a long public article for a reading notebook while keeping the original URL beside the extracted text. The accompanying tutorial includes a small Python standard-library client that saves this attribution, refuses to overwrite an existing file, and reports extraction errors: The published example was downloaded and run against the live API before this suggestion. API documentation: Limits: login-only pages and pages dependent on client-side scripts may not extract. Speech and translation are optional interface features and may use external providers. The tutorial does not republish any third-party article body, and extraction is not a licence to redistribute a source article. This is a resource suggestion for your software/tools section, not a user review or an endorsement claim. Thank you for considering it.
