ChamberZero has been a long-running personal project. This launch includes a complete redesign of the site and integration of election finance data. A complete money universe is constructed directly from itemized FEC transactions, 2008 to today. Elections go all the way back to 1788; who won every seat, with vote counts since 1976 (presidential since 1828). Bills, actions, and other legislative metadata go back to 1975 and roll-call votes to 1989 (as far as the public sources go). The Miller-column style allows quick drilling down to the raw source backing aggregate claims, especially useful for political data. For example [1]: Texas Elections → Talarico vs. Paxton → His top individual donor at $44.5K, well over the per-person limit → which turns out to be $63K given to the Talarico Victory Fund, with only Talarico's share credited to him → Each check linked to the FEC filing it was reported on.
