Mixdog is an open-source desktop coding agent that runs on the Claude, ChatGPT, or Grok subscription you already pay for. A strong lead model plans while cheap parallel workers do the grunt work, and a tiny local model picks the reasoning effort for each step. On Terminal-Bench 2.1 it matched Codex CLI's score with 63% fewer tokens (89 tasks x 5 trials, same model, official verifier, public logs). Free, Apache-2.0, Windows/Mac/Linux.
