WeDecide – A tool for easier decision making for group trips

Hey! In my spare time I am working on this little tool to let groups vote on accomodation/budget/dates for trips. I started building it, because the yearly trip with our friends got out of hand before it even started. After a lot of back and forth we were able to decide on date and budget, but the accomodation itself turned out to be a stress test for our friendships. From time to time new links got thrown into the group chat, in between all other messages. In the end we decided for a rather random accomodation, nobody was really happy with. While our trip in the end turned out to be great - with the right people the accomodation does not matter much - I was convinced a little app could benefit us and maybe others aswell. So I started building WeDecide. I wanted to achieve the following: * The focus is on the decision making, not on research. * It should work in combination with a group chat, not be an all in one tool. * Everyone in the chat should be easily involved. That means simple UX and no registration. I had doodle in mind for this. To finance it the app generates affiliate links of a number of hotel platforms. I won't get rich of it! Some technical details: It's a Nuxt app + postgres db running on a 5€ per month server of a german provider. Additionally I set up Bunny CDN. Tracking is done via a self hosted Plausible instance. Everything is hosted in Europe by European companies. Feedback is very much welcome and hopefully this tool is useful for somebody! Cheers
