CodeGraph is an open-source MCP engine that gives AI coding agents deterministic intelligence about a codebase—not just text search. It traces symbols, dependencies, routes, tests, database models/lineage, and runtime behavior, then returns evidence-backed, token-bounded context. The key difference is separation of responsibilities: the AI reasons, while CodeGraph interrogates the repository and clearly surfaces FACT, UNKNOWN, or AMBIGUOUS results instead of guessing.
