The smell of toner, warm paper, and the fascinating "poor-quality" copies old photocopiers produced. As an artist working with degrading source material, I wondered: is there a better way to degrade images than filters and by simulating the analog copying process? Toner grain, roller streaks, wobbling drum, scratched glass, halftone screens, misaligned colors, and a cartridge that runs out.
