Project URL Category Swift Project Title Mac dictation with on-device Whisper and Parakeet Project Description Plainsay is an MIT-licensed native Mac menu bar dictation app. Hold a key, speak, then release to paste text at the cursor. If the original window cannot be restored, text stays on the clipboard. Free Local mode runs Whisper or Parakeet on your Mac. Highlights Two local engines: Whisper via WhisperKit and NVIDIA Parakeet via FluidAudio, both using Core ML. The app attempts to restore the window you started in before pasting. If it cannot restore that window, the text stays on the clipboard.
