Project URL Category Python Project Title nudge: see which friends you've left on read Project Description nudge reads the chat exports you download from Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger, Telegram and iMessage and shows who keeps sending you reels and messages you never answered, with a ready-to-send opener. Runs 100% locally. Highlights Privacy by design: analysis happens in your browser (PWA, no upload, no account) or in a pure-standard-library Python CLI. No scraping and no unofficial APIs; it only reads exports you download yourself. Measures something other tools don't: not screen time or a personal CRM, but "attention people gave you that you never returned" (unanswered shared reels/links, who is waiting on a reply, fading friendships). Five chat sources, one ranked list: Instagram/Messenger JSON, WhatsApp Android and iOS text exports, Telegram JSON, iMessage from a Mac chat.db or an unencrypted iPhone backup on Windows. Builds a habit: weekly digest with desktop notification, an iOS Scriptable widget ("3 people are waiting on you"), and an HTML report with links to every unanswered reel and a copy button for the opener. Zero-dependency web app: plain HTML/JS in docs/, installable and offline, and can auto-pick up new exports from your Downloads folder in Chrome/Edge. Parsers are covered by a test suite (10 tests, all passing). Example Code bash git clone && cd nudge pip install . nudge demo --open # try it on fake data first nudge scan ~/Downloads/instagram-export.zip "~/Downloads/WhatsApp Chat with Maya.txt" \ me "Sam Rivera" --days 30 --html report.html --open Screenshots or Demo Videos Live
