Muscle Memory – Can you still write code without AI?
Developer of 6 years here, been using AI (increasingly) over the last year for most of my work. A few weeks back I started to look for new jobs as the current startup I work for is falling into pieces. "Do I need to do leetcode again?" - I thought. So I picked a few challenges and tried to solve them without an assistant. This felt impossible. What?! Is this the brainrot everyone is talking about? I mean I still read code every day, I just don't write it anymore. I could read and review the solution easily, but writing it myself felt like speaking a language I only understand, but cannot speak. Being the data hoarder I am, I immediately wanted numbers, so I built Muscle Memory to help me feed them. It's like leetcode but better. Challenges are more realistic, and I'd like to think the UX is more straightforward. It covers 12 languages and your code runs in a network-denied sandbox in your browser. No account needed. I want it to be a place to keep your hands sharp: short tasks, clear prompts, and difficulty that comes from solving the problem rather than figuring out what the question means. About the data (that I'm curious about): With your consent, Muscle Memory records your practice as raw events, including keystrokes, runs and submissions. Hoping to build an open dataset of how we write code in the AI era. That could help us understand how we approach problems, where we get stuck, and how we well do we retain our craft during this transition. Your individual results stay private unless you share them. “Stealth” mode keeps your data out of published findings, and you can export or delete everything. The data will be published as a report/notebook on the site itself, and be available raw under MIT license (parquet) once we reach a critical mass of sorts, so it makes sense to share. 最近几个月我一直同时开着 Claude Code 、Codex 和 Gemini CLI 写代码。agent 本身跑得挺好，烦的是它每次要跑命令、改文件都停下来等我按「允许」。三个终端轮流翻，经常翻到的时候它已经等了十分钟；出去吃个饭，回来每个都停在第一条 git push 上。开 yolo 全放行又不敢，一句 rm -rf 出去就没有后悔药。 所以我写了 Railse：每条审批先过一遍规则，规则定不了的推到手机，我在手机上点一下，agent 接着跑。 它怎么做： - 三家 CLI 的权限钩子都接到本机一个守护进程，规则只写一套。 - 每条请求先定风险档：只读和改项目里的文件直接放行； curl 、npm install 这类联网的，git push 、deploy 这类对外的，rm -rf 、git reset --hard 这类不可逆的，都问。 - 定不了的推到手机，Web Push 通知，点开批准或拒绝。批准时勾「记住」，当场存成规则，下次同类的不问。 - 对外和不可逆的永远不能被「记住」放行，只能自己手写规则。 - Railse 自己挂了不卡 agent：守护进程没起、hub 连不上超过 30 秒，CLI 弹自己的审批框，最坏就是回到没装的样子。 hub 自己部署，一个 Go 二进制，也有 Fly.io 的现成配置；手机网页由 hub 托管，不用另外部署。命令里认得出的 token 、密码在本机就换成 再上报。 现状：v0.1.2 ，我自己在用。已知的限制：Gemini CLI 的钩子只能拒绝不能放行； Codex 的钩子只在交互会话里生效； iPhone 要加到主屏幕才能收推送； hub 是单机 SQLite 。 开源，Apache 2.0： 一行安装：curl -fsSL | sh 想听两种反馈：你同时开几个 agent 的时候是怎么处理审批的；规则表有判错的（该放行的问了、该问的放行了）直接提 issue ，我会优先看。

Local, Tracked, Versioned, Legal Research Databases
This is a project I've been working on for about 8 months now. I worked in legal tech for 3 years and found that one of the biggest hurdles for AI agents and lawyers alike when doing legal research is tracking changes, and correctly cross referencing those changes between different forms of legal documents. W2D builds a SQLite dataset from public sources, and offers agent skills for answering questions about that dataset. The dataset holds multiple revisions of the U.S. Code at each release point that you add. It holds the public laws that amend the Code, and it links each amendment to the change that it made. It holds court opinions from CourtListener, by page and paragraph, and it links each U.S.C. citation to the provision that the court cited. It can also hold House roll calls. This is similar in spirit to "git for Law" but includes a lot more utilities than diffs to make it an effective tool for research.

You can talk with our agent right in your browser, no sign-up: https://crulon.ai/#talk Why I built it: I’ve spent eight years as a software and network engineer, mostly building tools for internet providers, and kept watching small support teams lose customers in the seams. Calls missed after hours. Calls passed from a bot to a person who had to start over. Most voice AI products are a bot sitting on someone else’s phone line, so a handoff means forwarding to another number and losing the context. We built the phone system and the agent as one thing. What that gets you: The handoff happens inside the same system. When something isn’t the AI’s job, it asks the caller, then rings your team (in the browser or on a desk phone) with a note on why they’re calling. Live calls: anyone with permission can listen to an AI call (no one on the call can hear them) and take it over. It’s the same call, with no transfer and no hold music; the AI just leaves. Tools: the agent can call any API you define in an Action builder (look up the caller, open a ticket), and it checks with the caller before changing anything. Outbound campaigns: the agent works through a call list for reminders, renewals and follow-ups, and puts interested people through to your team. SIP desk phones, and bring-your-own-carrier so you can keep your numbers. If you run out of AI minutes, calls follow your fallback route (ring the team, voicemail) instead of dropping, and the refused call isn’t billed. How it’s built, briefly: calls come in over SIP into Call Flows (menus, queues, schedules), and your team answers in the browser or on SIP desk phones. Each agent runs on one of two engines. Classic transcribes, thinks, then speaks, so you get exact wording and English, Spanish and French. Live is a full-duplex speech model that listens while it talks and hands tool work to a second model. Built-in Apps connect it to systems like billing and network tools, and anything with a web API plugs in through the Action builder. Consider a support agent: how do you stream messages to your frontend, how/where do you persist messages for frontend fetching later (or for auditing), and when the agent wants to issue a refund, do you spin-down the compute infra while it's waiting on human approval? Sectr aims to be the serverless abstraction and platform to provide these systems for you. This works, but breaks prompt caching (and might subtly change model behavior). My cofounder Shiv Oberai and I have been working on Limma for a year now with the goal of building a proactive solution to the reliability issues that plague practical AI and agentic use in companies with RAG. Open Dataset of the Lebanese Law
Hey folks! I made it easier for builders to use the lebanese legislation through: a public DB, API, and MCP. The Lebanese University has an archive of all laws dating back to 1904 (legallaw.ul.edu.lb). People and AI can barely find it and navigate it. It also had outdated articles. Now, more people are using it. Builders for their startups, lawyers for their work, and students for their bar prep. I'm still trying to get it trusted by authorities. The database includes the edges between every law, article, ruling and Gazette issue. You can easily identify how they influence one another. Articles are versioned, so you can see how it was affected by other laws from the date it was published. 100k unofficial english translations were added using LLMs. They aren't accurate, but they help with search and SEO/AEO/GEO. We're working on producing legally accurate translations. 47k rulings were PDFs, some handwritten. We converted all of them to text using OCR, flagging handwritten files. We're working on an HTR model specifically for those to increase the confidence. Today, other datasets in Lebanon charge for this data. I'm doing it as a public service. I want change in my country. And, lately, I think it's through helping builders. Yet, what I'm doing is legally wrong, but hopefully morally acceptable.

Cryo – A language whose programs live forever
Cryo is a programming language that models long-running tasks like workflows or AI agents. Programs freeze to disk when idle and can be thawed when new data arrives. As part of our announcement of Endothermic Labs, we've put together a small of Cryo that highlights its features and walks through the language and its plugin system. We originally built it as a way to deploy healthcare agents at scale, but have rebuilt it from the ground up to be a standalone toolchain for long-running tasks. It acts as something like a cross between Durable Objects and Temporal workflows, where the script itself is the durable unit with no replay needed. Cryo is statically and structurally typed, with a concurrency model similar to Go. It's still under active development, so we're holding off on open sourcing it until we're confident that the language is stable, ideally in the next 3-4 weeks.

Mainplane – Agent in Go that lives on your old PC, drives your laptop
Hi HN, I'm Alexander. Yes, this is another agent harness. Here is why I built one anyway. I was engineer #2 at Browser Use, where I built our agent harness and the evals behind it, including BU Bench, which became a default benchmark for browser agents. I left in September to build Mainplane. The problem: local agents die with your laptop, and cloud agents can't reach your work. Many cloud platforms ask you to "select a repository", but my work is not that simple. I work across a desktop, a Mac mini and a laptop, and much of it is not in git. So I loaded Ubuntu on my old 2012 desktop and made it my Mainplane server. It has run for four weeks at a load average of 0.02, because the agents' tools run on other machines. How it works: it is a control plane architecture. The server runs the harness. It holds your API keys and every session, makes the LLM calls, and routes each tool call to a worker. The workers are your other machines, connected over a built-in private WireGuard network. A bash command runs in the worker's terminal, not on the server. Shared drives let projects move across machines. The agent works on your machines just like you would, but its state lives on the server, and your keys never leave it. Some design choices: - Every session is one append-only file. This is the agent state, and it is easily readable. If something breaks, you can resume it from the file. Observability comes for free: agent traces are just these state files. - Small by design. The system prompt is 3k tokens, and there are just two kinds of tools: shell and file (read, write, edit). At Browser Use, I learned the bitter lesson and found frontier models did better when I deleted all our helper functions. So I made the same bet here: bash is all you need. - No compaction. When a session fills up, /continue starts a new one that greps the previous state file, retrieving the context it needs, instead of reading a lossy summary. A /compact on a 400k-token session takes a while to write its summary. A /continue into a brand new session starts at once. - No permission prompts. A hyperintelligent misaligned agent WILL find a way around a permission system. The better strategy is giving the agent full unbounded access to a local computer, and only putting what you trust the agent with on that computer. - Why Go. WireGuard is written in Go, so the network compiles right into a 20 MB binary. Go is made for production servers, LLMs write it well, and the simplicity of Go matches how I like to build. Mainplane works with a Claude or ChatGPT subscription on the regular usage limits, or any API key. I would love your feedback, especially brutal and honest feedback and tasks that the harness cannot do. I'll be here all day to answer questions.

Markdown is 40× more token-efficient with SQLite

I'm working on open-source context ownership, to stop AI centralisation: https://github.com/withnative/native My first focus has been making Markdown vaults powerful enough so that teams can self-host all of their context (messaging, docs and projects), without it being externally fragmented or rate-limited. I'm sharing some early results: Markdown vaults can be 40× more efficient with SQLite! https://www.withnative.ai/research-and-posts/markdown-contex... Here's some of the main ideas: - SQLite or Markdown folders, you pick. You can project the same authoritative event log into either form; more projection formats will follow (e.g. maybe neo4j; we do use a graph structure). - Empirically: SQLite is better for agents! On a 120 trial evaluation for 11,000 records, agents use 40× fewer tokens with SQLite vs Markdown, per correct answer. - Everything is a file or SQLite row. Messages, documents and projects: all can be modelled in your vault. You get local-first collaboration with teammates, synced to a cloud of your choice. - You can render your vault with arbitrary UI. Your WhatsApp-like UI speaks to your teammate's Slack-like UI; both are just views over the same database. A few things I've learned building this: - Agents do pretty well even without SQL if you give them strongly typed Markdown frontmatter. This was one arm of the trial I ran. I didn't have any clear expectations, but it was cool to watch: agents ended up writing Python scripts to do SQL-like queries. - Cumulatively, cached input tokens can get expensive. I feel silly in hindsight here. I'd gotten used to letting my sessions run long, "It's all cached so it's very cheap". But when I looked at my results here, over 2/3 of the token bill on long sessions was cached input... - "Markdown vaults don't scale as well as databases" isn't as self-evident as I think. This is why I decided to benchmark it... I've had some very blank stares when I try to explain how Markdown files might break at true agent-scale volume. Unfortunately, the dataset is private, because it's two months of my own work. I am considering open-sourcing it even so, but there is definitely some embarrassing stuff in there. TBD... I know that independent result verification matters! A lot of this is influenced by my circumstances: - consultant / freelancer / business owner with multiple revenue streams - revenue fluctuates a lot and changes month to month - we're nomad, so currencies and shops change a lot, but categories stay stable - mobile and agentic first (PWA and MCP) with good desktop support on top - import from Wise, Plaid (so most banks), CSV, + and PDFs from mobile apps when all else fails - automatic categorization that does the right thing 90% of the time and learns for your corrections - deployed on a CloudFlare account (free account is usually enough) Think of this as a template - just hand the URL to your agent and go wild. This is built to be infinitely malleable and extendable because accounting setups and needs differ so much between people. Extracted from my own heavily used setup after removing all the private and unique bits. May we all take control of our funds, each in our unique way.

最近做了一个音乐相关的 Web 工具，ChordFold 。 主要功能是：用户选择一段 MP3 或 WAV 音频，AI 自动识别里面的和弦，以及和弦随时间的变化。 和一些需要上传音频到服务器的识别服务不同，我选择了浏览器本地推理的方案。 目前的技术方案： 使用 BTC 系列和弦识别模型 模型转换为 ONNX 格式 通过 ONNX Runtime Web 在浏览器里执行 WASM 推理 对音频进行解码和 CQT 特征提取 模型预测后对结果进行平滑，生成和弦时间轴 用户侧的操作流程也比较简单： 选择本地音频文件 首次使用时下载识别模型 在浏览器本地分析音频 得到按时间排列的和弦结果 点击时间轴上的和弦，可以跳到对应位置回听 可以切换查看支持的吉他和弦指法图、钢琴音符参考 目前限制音频最大 14MB 、最长 10 分钟。 选择本地推理主要有几个考虑： 第一，音频不需要上传服务器，相对更有隐私优势。 第二，不需要为每个用户的识别请求支付云端 GPU 推理费用。 第三，工具本身不需要用户注册账号。 但缺点也很明显。 首先，模型首次下载需要时间。 其次，不同设备上的 WASM 推理性能差异比较大。 还有就是和弦识别的准确率问题。对于干净的钢琴、吉他音频，相对容易分析；复杂编曲、失真、转位和弦以及快速切换的片段，模型仍然可能出现错误。 目前不打算宣传什么 99% 准确率，实际上还没有可靠的统一准确率测试数据。 接下来主要想继续优化识别效果、模型加载和结果交互。 想请教一下 V 友： 有没有做过音乐信息检索（ MIR ）或者音频模型部署的？ 对于浏览器本地音频推理，ONNX Runtime Web + WASM 还有哪些值得优化的方向？ 有更适合浏览器端运行、准确率又比较好的和弦识别模型推荐吗？ 如果你会弹吉他或者钢琴，也欢迎拿一段音频测试一下，看看识别效果怎么样。 技术交流和产品体验方面的建议都欢迎。

I am in the UK, and our government are kind of dogshit in terms of their approach to personal freedom and potentially could make moves to block VPNs. I believe that everyone should have not only unfiltered access to the internet, but the agency to control this and not be dependent on some sort of provider. This is a small project to make this available and easy to do, I will expand it into making it easier to run the server infrastructure shortly. Inspirations: Outline (great idea, not super secure or efficient), Singbox (honestly this is totally fine but could be improved). What I'd like: If people are in countries that actively try to block VPNs, it would be good to see if this works there, it is designed to but, not being there, I can't verify this. Reusable, spectraly shaped Blue Noise point clouds
Blue noise is the task of sampling a collection of points optimally placed to cover space randomly yet uniformly. -randomly: no periodic pattern or undesired ordered structure, to prevent aliasing effects. -uniformly: no empty regions, clusters... that would unavoidably appear by just using a raw random generator because of natural fluctuations. In spectral language, one can take the Fourier transform of the point cloud. For a blue noise, it's amplitude should be: - 0 or small at low frequencies. This ensures long-range order. - 1 or not too big at high frequencies (short-range disorder). Hence blue noise: Imagine sending light on the point cloud; in some abstract sense, only the blue (high frequency) will pass through. Many popular algorithms can sample blue noise: Poisson disks, void and clusters, Lloyd relaxation... but the bluest blue noise (those that show up as a hard 0-1 spectral step) comes from the most basic, brute-force algorithm you can imagine. Take points from a purely random generator, compare the Fourier transform with the 0-1 target, launch gradient descent... and wait. Wait because it has O(N^2) complexity. Well, it turns out in 2D / 3D, advanced fast Fourier techniques can bring it down to N log N, see https://github.com/martiniani-lab/FReSCo (not me), but this is limited to 2D / 3D point clouds. So, all this just to say that I launched a high-quality but slow blue noise optimiser on the GPU, collected the samples in a reusable database and hope it could interest people from graphics, statistical physics, maybe also quasi-Monte Carlo integration (but this one is just a maybe, simple Sobol sequences are better than blue noise on many tasks) or just curious hackers. Sampled clouds, all open access: 2D to 32D 1k to 130k points (and up to 30 millions in 2D / 3D thanks to the mentioned fast Fourier speed-up).

公司制度文档散在网盘、群聊、个人电脑，新人问、老人答，答的不一定是现行版本。试过 SaaS 知识库，卡在「数据出内网」和「按人头收费」两点，就自己写了一个。 只做一件事：把 Markdown 丢进 docs/，就能提问，回答带《文档》/章节出处，能点开核对原文；文档带可见范围（普通员工查不到财务制度，财务角色能看到）。全程不联网，零第三方依赖，一个文件 380 行。 几个实现上的小设计： - 分块：维护标题栈 + 段落，约 420 字一块，每块自带「《员工报销制度》/ 报销标准」这样的路径，回答时直接当引用 - 中文分词：二元组切分，不依赖分词库，英文数字按词切 - 召回：BM25 + TF-IDF 双路加权。第一版问「出差住宿报销上限」，第一条返回的是「差旅餐补」——加「查询词覆盖率」加权后才稳定命中住宿段落 - 回答默认抽取式，不生成。制度类问题最怕编造，返回原文让人自己核对 部署就两条命令：`python3 kb.py ingest` 建索引，`python3 kb.py serve` 起服务，目录拷到内网机器就能用。 演示（ 89 秒纯录屏）： 实现细节长文： 代码： 轻喷。主要想听检索排序和文档权限这两块还有哪些坑，或者你们公司现在怎么解决「制度找不到」这个问题。

Sparse kernel delivering 36% higher training throughput
I developed a custom GPU kernel in Triton to accelerate training with a sparse feed-forward network (FFN). With K=256, activating 256 of 4,096 FFN neurons per token (6.25%), the sparse model achieved 36% higher training throughput than its dense counterpart. The kernel has so far been tested on a single NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 GPU and requires GPU hardware with BF16 support. Whether a model trained with a sparse FFN and densified afterwards can match the quality of a model trained densely remains an open question. As a founder looking for industry events to network/sell at, Claude/ChatGPT search for conferences is extremely hit or miss. Dánwò – Open-source E2E testing with emulators and fault injection
Hi HN, I'm Faithful. I built dánwò, an open-source (Apache-2.0) end-to-end testing framework for web and mobile apps, written in TypeScript. The problem: a UI test can click "Pay", see "Payment successful" and pass, while the card was charged twice, the webhook was handled twice, or the receipt email never went out. With coding agents writing more of our code, that gap between "the screen looks right" and "the right things happened" is where I kept finding bugs. How it works: - Tests drive the app like a user, with locators or plain-English agent steps. An agent step calls a model once; danwo records the actions and replays them on later runs with no model calls, so CI doesn't need an API key. - Your app runs behind an egress proxy. Calls to Stripe, Clerk, Resend, Slack, Google and about 20 other providers are answered by local emulators at the real hostnames, so there are no sandbox keys and no code changes. For Node apps a preload routes the calls; Bun honours HTTPS_PROXY. - An invariant is a check that runs after the test and compares two sides: what the provider says happened (charges, emails, messages) and what your app stored. For example, credits granted must equal paid checkouts times 500. - `danwo matrix` replays a test once per fault it could meet: a 500 or 429 from a provider, a declined card, a duplicate, late, forged or replayed webhook, a double-submit, a database commit whose reply is lost, Postgres unreachable for a few seconds. The invariant judges every run, so you see exactly which failure your app mishandles. - Every run leaves a flight record: video, each step, every provider call, webhook delivery and database statement, with secrets redacted. It runs in Chromium, Firefox and WebKit, and on the Android emulator and iOS Simulator. It ships an MCP server and a skill, so coding agents (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex) can write and run tests and fix what fails. Limitations, honestly: the emulators are only as good as their fidelity to the real APIs. Each one has a suite that runs against the real provider to catch drift, but they won't cover every edge of Stripe's API. Backend routing is built for Node and Bun today. Mobile tests need macOS or Linux. It's early (v0.1.2). The name is Yorùbá: "dán an wò" means "try it and see". Cryptex Vault – A password manager designed to outlive its creator
Hello everyone! About four years ago, a password manager I've used and depended on has been acquired and soon after, it was shut down. If anyone remembers MYKI, it was a password manager that stood out at the time. It didn't require an email address and a password for registration and it synchronized credentials peer-to-peer. It was quite handy so a couple of my friends and I got hooked, and were using it up until the last day it was online. The thing was, I didn't want to change password managers to other options available at the time, none felt right - I wanted to stay.. So I did what any sensible engineer would do 4 years ago and I wrote my own. I moved all my credentials there as soon as I had a first version ready. It was ugly (God knows I had UI/UX skills to learn), but it worked. Soon after, the same friends that were using MYKI switched over to using Cryptex Vault. I get why, we had the same P2P synchronization across devices, it was simple and didn't try to be the most-feature complete application out there - it did the job. That was an exciting moment. So exciting, in fact, that I've posted to HN to tell people about it. At the time, I had a weird thing for decentralization so I called it a "Fully Decentralized Password Manager". Three years go by, I keep maintaining the project, with no real intention of proper marketing or polishing. At one point I checked the usage and figured out that a handful of people (and their families) were still using Cryptex Vault as their password manager. Three months ago, I left my comfy job as lead software engineer at a local company to dedicate time to a company I called Cryptex Industries. Polished Cryptex Vault, cleaned it up, made it open source, started providing Docker images for self-hosting and included some of the features I've only used internally (ssh-agents). That way Cryptex Industries need not remain operational for users to have a path to continued use! To make the project commercially viable, I started offering managed services through the Online Services plan. By using Online Services you remove the operational burden of self-hosting and infrastructure maintenance from yourself while still getting the same benefits: Managed backup storage, synchronization between devices, sharing, ssh-agents, device management. It is convenience, not access to core features. The core application is free and you can use it with no subscriptions of any kind, whatsoever. For the past 12 years as a data engineer, I've been building pipelines across many different business categories and sizes. Most pipelines that I’ve encountered were relatively simple jobs and required more orchestration and infrastructure than the work seems to justify. I wanted to make it easier for business users or analysts to take on the less complicated requests and technical engineers be able to focus on more complex pipelines. So in the past year I've been building a local desktop application (Mac/PC/Linux) to make it easy enough for analysts to build pipelines and answer analytical questions they have about their data, no matter their level of technical expertise. It’s called Ternlux, and it streamlines the process of transforming and getting your data where it needs to go. There are two key features: - Ask questions: AI helps to write the query for your connection and answer your question - Build reusable workflows: The AI generates SQL, Python, and workflow logic that executes based on your defined rules and triggers One of the key advantages of the application is you can perform cross-database joins between databases, local files, vector databases, and cloud storage. You describe the workflow you want and the app writes the code and builds the environment to execute it in (for local joins, it uses either JS, Python, or DuckDB to execute the code). For example, if I want to build a workflow that joins a Postgres table with a CSV file and write the results to Snowflake, I just describe the tables I want to use, the keys to join on, and where the join should run. The app takes care of the rest. I also wanted the app to be as secure as possible. It always asks for approval before performing any database or local file manipulation. It never sends anything to Ternlux servers if you haven’t opted into telemetry. It’s important to note that the app will send query results to your selected AI provider to analyze and answer your questions. It will also send the schema and a small sample size of your data to build workflows properly. It is a bring your own key application. It supports Gemini, Claude, OpenAI, and any models that are OpenAI compatible (Ollama, LM Studio, Openrouter…). All of your credentials stay encrypted locally. A fantasy map of my blog to replace the chronological feed
This is my blog drawn as a network, with a light coat of paint to make it look like a video game map. Each city is a post, bigger cities have more incoming links, and roads are connections between posts. It updates semi-automatically every time I publish. (I used an LLM to write the code and drew about 90% of the art myself in Inkscape.) For a long time I've been unsatisfied with the linear feeds and tag soups that most blogs use, so I decided to experiment with a non-linear view. I built some CLI tools that combine embedding similarity, LLM suggestions and human review to find the links between posts and quantify their strength. Now, every time I write a new piece, it takes me about 5 minutes to generate its links to/from older posts and grow the map accordingly. The map is meant to look playful more than precise. For me, the key feature is how it enables making your own "journey" through the blog. The tricky part was finding a layout where closely related posts end up near each other AND the landscape doesn't change dramatically with every new post. I'm not a graph expert, but t-SNE on shortest-path distances over the link graph turned out to work well in my tests. Each update starts from the previous positions with early exaggeration off, and a Procrustes alignment keeps the map from rotating or drifting. I hope it helps people get lost in there and find things they want to read. I'd like to see something like this on other blogs, so I'm sharing it here. I wonder if anyone else has tried similar ways to un-linearize their blogs.

ReviewerAgent and StopContinue, for CC and Codex with Pi
This package is designed to solve two problems: 1. Frontier models like Fable 5.1, Opus 5.5, Astra 6.0 and Sol 6.1 all make errors and bugs that can be found by another model (even a much smaller model like Luna). 2. In what is supposed to be a long development run, for example against a plan, models will decide to stop before they are finished, when there is obviously more work to do, or to ask a question they already should know the answer to. ReviewerAgent blocks git commits and sends them to another agent that reviews the staged files and either allows the commit or returns a list of issues to fix. StopContinue evaluates every agent stop and determines if it still has work to do or if it is asking a question that it has the answer to already. In either of those cases, it prompts the agent to keep working and specifies next steps or answers to questions, based on the current plan document and chat history. The system works for and is tested on Claude Code and Codex as the developer harness, and either of those or any other model, through Pi, as the reviewer. I've developed it over the last 4 months or so and used it daily over that period. Take a look if it sounds useful. It's been tested on MacOS and Linux (Ubuntu), and has agent assisted install, update, and removal scripts, for convenience. Stats: Over four months of daily use of the system while developing it (from late June til today), reviewerAgent (usually a GPT Luna model) gated 3,877 commits, running about 7,600 reviews in total, so about half of those commits were rejected at least once. The coding agent (Fable or Opus) almost never disagreed with the reviewer's judgements: over the last month, for example, it pushed back on just 3 of 693 rejections. Each rejection listed an average of two required fixes and most rejected commits were accepted after a second round (90% within five attempts). Rejection rates increased with commit size: only 23% of code commits under 50 lines were sent back, but 72% of those over 1,000 lines were initially rejected. Here's an example of a bug that it caught last month for me. More examples in the README: The Fable 5.1 developer agent wrote a wrapper script that runs a set of R validation checks against a freshly loaded database and records whether each one passed. (One of two required fixes shown.) REQUIRED FIXES (blocking) 2. docs/database-phase-loader/local-load/run_r_checks.sh:4-6 pipes each R check through tail without pipefail or explicit status handling, so a failed Rscript can still produce a zero exit status and be recorded as successful. Preserve and propagate each check's exit status. In a shell pipeline the exit status is that of the last command, so `Rscript check.R | tail` reports `tail`'s success even when the check fails. The script prints the tail of the failing check's output, exits 0, and records a pass. A broken load would have been certified as validated.

Hi HN, I’m Anil. I wanted to test the waters for a cloud computing site I created. It connects developers with access to the global compute using a unified API. It’s like a compute Marketplace. You state what you need (region, price point, performance target) and deploy the same way, no matter which provider is underneath.
